Dear Colleagues:
This is an update on the FY27 rates for the Technology Recharge Fee (TRF), which provides support for a Basic Bundle of enterprise information technology services delivered by UW Information Technology (UW-IT).
Under a recommendation by the Information & Technology Governance Executive Committee, and approved by the Provost, there will be a 5.3% percent increase to the TRF rates for FY27, as follows:
- $78.41 per month per capita for all academic and administrative units (the current rate is $74.47).
- $70.23 per month per capita for the UW Medical Centers (the current rate is $66.67).
To reach this year’s recommendation, the TRF Advisory Committee reviewed projected costs, including increases in the costs of enterprise software licenses.
We are providing the rate to you as early as possible so that you can incorporate it sooner in your FY27 budget planning.
